Personal Learning Networks are an amazing resource! Many times the internet provides so many resources that it become difficult to keep track of everything. Through the use of a PLN, everything become organized and simple to find! I chose to use the Pearltrees for my PLN. I like how Pearltrees has an attractively simple approach and lets you choose exactly how things are organized. Personal Learning Networks are a fantastic resource, and I look forward to seeing how use of Peartrees will enhance my online learning.
The internet provies an amazing avenue for all types of learning. Personally, as a current elementary school teacher, I visit sites such as: www.teacherspayteachercom, wikiteacher.com, and www.dropbox.com. These websites give my valuable information from other teachers, researchers, curriculum development companies, and an avenue for online storage. As far as authors are concerned, Kagan has contributed much to the realm of engagment in education-an aspect that is vital to both classroom education and physical education. As a whole, the internet in an inexpendable resource for my career and furthering education. Nonetheless, like all valuable resources, the internet does provide drawbacks. At times, due to the availability of social media and online shopping, distractions can hinder progress. In all, despite the distractions, the internet provides a pletheora of opprtunity that is irreplacable.
Microblogging is a wonderful technological tool! It allows people to share thoughts and ideas in a quick and efficient manner. In specific regard to athletic education, microblogging can be used in a myriad of ways. Many times people in athletics would rather DO than SAY; microblogging allows these people to quickly give thoughts and opinions. Additionally, instructors can give advice and insight as a way of conveying instruction, students can respond appropriately to show understanding, and peers can interact to gain a further grasp of content at hand. Microblogging is a fantastic technological tool.
Module 1: PWP Post
Personal Web Presence? Who ever heard of such a thing? I'm shocked and amazed that after only being out of school for three years, there's so much to learn. I by no stretch of the imagination feel that I've kept up with technology throughout my entire life. All of this just goes to show that in the end, a teacher is always a student.
Module 1: Post Something About Yourself
Today is definitely the start to a very exciting chapter in life! As I sit and begin to blog (as an assignment), I think about all that the next seventeen months will bring in my life and all of the wonderful opportunities that will follow. Reflecting back to my undergraduate degree and my first master's, I remember tons of mixed emotions. My undergrad was definitely the most difficult and taxing, whereas my first graduate degree was seemingly simple in comparison. Now, I have been out of the swing of school for a couple of year and have really come to enjoy my open weekends! Although I may be mourning the loss of extra time, I also sit with anticipation of all that is coming. I am so excited to develop a deeper knowledge base within the health and fitness realm. I know that as I begin this journey, I will gain a deeper insight in these matters than I have ever had in the past, and for that, I am ready to go!
